Check AvailabilityIt is a flight, wrapped in transfers. Buenos Aires is about 1,300 kilometres south of the falls, so every one of these days begins at an airport and the park hours are whatever is left over once the aircraft have had their say.
The operators are precise about the shape. The outbound flight goes between 06:00 and 08:30, the return between 18:00 and 20:30, and a private car collects you from your hotel somewhere around 04:30. What that leaves is seven or eight hours at the falls, which is enough for the Argentine circuits and not enough for two countries.
The longer versions — two days, three days, a week, twelve days — use the same flights and add hotel nights, which is what buys the second park and a boat.
No packing, no checkout, no re-booking. For a traveller with a fixed base in Buenos Aires and one free day, that is most of the appeal.

If you can spare a night, sleeping at the falls is the better trip and the cheaper one. If you cannot, these days exist precisely because that is a common position to be in, and the fly-in works.
You get: round-trip flights on the packages that include them, private or shared transfers at both ends, a guide at the falls, and on most of these the Argentine national park entrance.
You don’t get: meals, the Brazilian side on a one-day package, or flexibility. Five of the six are non-refundable and cannot be modified, which is stated plainly on each of their cards.
The boat is separate on every one of them, sold either as a higher tour grade or bought on the ground. If a boat matters to you, check the Iguazu Falls boat tours before you book a package that does not carry one.
Book the date you are certain of. Most of these are non-refundable, and a 04:30 pickup on a morning you cannot make is money gone. Take travel insurance instead of hoping.
Check which Buenos Aires airport your flight uses — the city has two, and one traveller here lost time to exactly that. Pack for a day rather than a trip: the standard fare is economy with no checked luggage, and everything you carry you carry round the park.
Finally, eat before you leave. Nothing is open at 04:30, and the first food of the day may be at the far end of a two-hour flight.
If you are already in Puerto Iguazú or Foz do Iguaçu, you are paying for flights you do not need — the local departures cost a fraction of these and give you more hours at the falls. Start from Iguazu Falls Tours instead.
If your dates might move, the non-refundable terms here are a poor fit and most of the local days refund in full at 24 hours. And if you want both countries, a single day from Buenos Aires cannot do it; take the two or three-day version, or read the Brazil and Argentina tours.
